I've always gotten into planning/throwing Halloween parties (for 'grownups') and seeing everyone show up for uniquely good times. I went food shopping yesterday with my toddler and was on the phone with my wife, didn’t even think about what I was doing and walked into the store without my mask. A guy working deli, stopped me and told me to put a mask on. I was mortified that I forgot, just got distracted. When I reentered (masked) I found the manager and told her how happy I was that that worker was brave enough to confront me and he did a good job. Stores of all kinds don't / won't enforce (understandably) and every time I have ridden with my son to just get out of the house at least half if not 3/4 of the people going in and out of these stores are maskless. Even places like our local Walmart who do enforce (at least at the door) my son has said over half either take masks completely off or push them down. Yeah, I understand that, but there was no distancing at the football game; the bleachers were packed full, there were lines for food, people sitting at tables packed full, and the people that were lined up on the streets for some reason. It drives me nuts because here in the Midwest some states have some of the highest % infection rate per 100,000 people, and some of the lowest testing. High school sports are what are going to be a problem here. My dad took my grandpa over to a football game last week because it's outdoors and people were recommended to wear masks. I am in the Midwest and people will wear masks if a place asks them to, but besides the schools, grocery stores, and the doctors office, most places don't require them. My coworker had been planning to visit her parents for a week before her husband had to go back to in-person work. Her parents agreed to quarantine themselves for two weeks leading up to their visit. I haven't heard much about this in regards to covid, but you always heard about that one kid who got chicken pox the first time, and it wasn't that bad (since they didn't really have an immune response) then they got it again and it was... really bad. I went trick or treating until senior year of high school. Not as much as when I was younger, but I would go with a kid I babysat for one or two streets. Often the measure of a young team being unable to close. Lebron was also injured for many of those. Kuz and BI would go ISO and basically just brick shots down the stretch. You’re better off playing at your pace and continuing what you did to get the lead, than “running out the clock” so to speak like football. I just can’t take anymore of these blown leads.
