A close friend of mine is a trained medical professional who completely bought into the Plandemic bullshit months ago. She was trying to tell me how frequent mask usage hurts your immune system and makes it weak or some bullshit. She eventually came around and now takes everything seriously, but I’ve permanently lost respect for her. How do you rock through medical school only to throw it all away and believe a fucking YouTube video? It’s harsh, but there’s never anything wrong with cutting toxicity out of your life. On the flip side I would look at those who are being compassionate and responsible and try to befriend them.

I've always gotten into planning/throwing Halloween parties (for 'grownups') and seeing everyone show up for uniquely good times. What a pisser that this year, 10.31 actually falls on a Saturday *and* coincides with a full moon. Even with masks and costumes, my GF and I won't be hosting a party this year. We're still discussing the logistics of if there could be some way to at least accommodate the trick or treat kids, but this will likely be the *first* year without Jack o' lanterns on our porch, vintage Beistle decorations and our extensive playlist of Halloween-themed hard rock blasting out. Such a simple sentiment but it absolutely broke my heart to see it written out. I will never understand the people out there saying, "it only kills 1%". Even if their statements were true, do those lives not matter? We don't all have the privilege of saving lives everyday but in this moment we can wear a face mask and do just that. I will continue to stay home and only go out for esssntials because I refuse to be part of the chain that has killed 294,000 Americans and almost 1,000,000 people worldwide. Same. Everything is so politicized here. People can get away with long term problems such as global warming or inconsequential stuff like flat earth, but if you try it on a short term serious problem like Corona, then you’ll see growing deaths. Smart people know what they don’t know and try to learn. Dumb people think they’re smarter than everyone else and have blind belief. I don't think intelligence is as much a problem as the lack of empathy is. You can be dumb as hell, but if you care about people you are going to take precautions regardless.
