I am in the Midwest and people will wear masks if a place asks them to, but besides the schools, grocery stores, and the doctors office, most places don't require them. I'm in a rural area so we've only had like 40 cases of Covid in our area and they've got it to stop spreading in each small outbreak. And nobody has died around here so a lot of people think it's no big deal. Where I live our outside mask ordinance was lifted like 2.5 months ago and 99% of people still wear masks even walking down the street.

That being said, I'm so sick of the approach taken to this by a lot of media. You've got the right wing media pretending this whole crisis is in the rearview mirror, which is obviously just flat out retarded when we've still got ~800 people dying every day and millions of people are still out of work. But this left wing media is being disingenuous as well, it's just harder to spot. First, the good news: In 24 states, the number of new coronavirus cases decreased this past week compared to the previous week. Now, the bad news: In many of those states, testing has also decreased. I've basically lost faith in humanity and hate everyone as a result of this year. I've also deleted any way to contact about 20 now former friends and family for how they've acted. I've come to view how people act during this as a litmus test for their IQ and compassion. You fail I no longer care about you at all. OMG. I hear you!! I have lost so many friends and family members over simple masking. I just don't get what their problem is. But, to me it's them saying "F- you. I don't care enough about you to wear one."
