I went trick or treating until senior year of high school. Not as much as when I was younger, but I would go with a kid I babysat for one or two streets. Your daughter can still go next year, especially since it will be a do-over of this year! I saw a post about someone’s Hallowe’en set up where there was a downward slanted pvc pipe from their front door to a closed gate by the sidewalk that would eject the treat onto a plate or something. Kinda neat, but seems like it would be safe only if everyone participating did something like that and you brought along lots of hand sanitizer. And everyone wore masks, obviously. I wonder if anyone would dress up like Bane...

High school sports are what are going to be a problem here. My dad took my grandpa over to a football game last week because it's outdoors and people were recommended to wear masks. Well, when my dad got there he said he didn't see a single mask, the bleachers were completely full, and people were lining the street nearby to watch. For a goddamn junior high football game. My dad and grandpa thankfully stayed in his pickup and watched from the end zone parking, but I wouldn't be surprised if we have a bunch of cases popping up soon. It drives me nuts because here in the Midwest some states have some of the highest % infection rate per 100,000 people, and some of the lowest testing. But since the population is so low it looks like we're doing better than states like CA and TX, when in reality we're just as bad and probably haven't seen the worst yet since most people still think the virus is overblown.
