That's what I want to do with my family but my sister and mom would simply not be capable of isolating. They would lie, and go out for stupid shit. Already trying not to be depressed about Christmas... in September. Sigh. It's gonna be a long winter and it ain't even here yet. Yeah I think just realized why my dad wants me to come home from uni as early as possible. If I'm there right after my final exam then I have nearly two weeks in their "bubble" before meeting grandma on Christmas Eve. That's probably as safe as it can be without completely isolating.

That being said, I'm so sick of the approach taken to this by a lot of media. You've got the right wing media pretending this whole crisis is in the rearview mirror, which is obviously just flat out retarded when we've still got ~800 people dying every day and millions of people are still out of work. But this left wing media is being disingenuous as well, it's just harder to spot. First, the good news: In 24 states, the number of new coronavirus cases decreased this past week compared to the previous week. Now, the bad news: In many of those states, testing has also decreased. It drives me nuts because here in the Midwest some states have some of the highest % infection rate per 100,000 people, and some of the lowest testing. But since the population is so low it looks like we're doing better than states like CA and TX, when in reality we're just as bad and probably haven't seen the worst yet since most people still think the virus is overblown.
